LVT - Looking Beyond Aesthetics

This presentation provides an insight into the various types of Luxury Vinyl Tile products available and considers these in terms of performance and functionality. Delegates will learn about the various areas to focus on, beyond aesthetics, when specifying a LVT product for a commercial installation. It also considers the environmental aspects of the product and provides information on ingredients typically used and relevant quality standards.

End of Life Disposal of Interior Finishes: A Focus on Carpet Tiles

This seminar provides delegates with an understanding of the broad drivers for recycling of interior materials, with a specific focus on carpet. It reviews the options for disposal of carpet and opportunities for recycling of broadloom carpet and carpet tiles. The presentation goes on to explain a new Closed Loop carpet tile recycling process, which Milliken has recently developed, giving an insight into how the technology works, its capabilities, the challenges it presents and how architects and other users can engage with this process.

This CPD presentation initially provides delegates with an insight into why health and wellbeing is becoming increasingly important in the built environment. It goes on to review the latest version of the WELL Building Standard and highlights how floor coverings specifically feature in the standard and consider how various aspects of floor coverings can help architects to achieve the WELL standard.
